Programming

Based in central Texas, I serve clients world-wide. I specialize in PHP programming, database design, script troubleshooting and maintenance programming. I can create a custom solution, unique to your business or install and customize an existing application. If your original coder has disappeared on you, I can pick up where they left off. My only requirement is that the code is written in PHP and running on Unix.

Besides basic CGI scripting, my experience also includes building database driven web sites using PHP, Perl and C. I have experience with databases of all sizes, from simple text files to full featured relational database systems with tens of thousands of records. I have experience with PHP and MySQL as well as Sybase using Perl and C. I have migrated web sites from PHP4 / MySQL 4 to PHP5 / MySQL5.

My experience with PHP includes working with Smarty, DB_Object, Joomla, Drupal, ViArt, ZenCart, OpenCart, Magento, Zend Framework, CodeIgnitor, Concrete5 and Laravel.

Linux.

I am also available for managing Linux and other Unix servers. I have experience with the following operating systems:

Many web sites don't require the services of a full-time system administrator. Occassionally the need arises for someone that knows their way around the system and can communitcate with the web host. I am often hired troubleshoot an issue on a server so the problem can be corrected by the host or to simply move a site from one hosting provider to another.

I am comfortable working on the command line as well as with common control panels like cPanel and Plesk.
